John L. Yurish
John (Jack) Yurish is Vice President of Group Performance Associates, LLC and a co-founder and Principal of the Cambridge Management Institute. Group Performance Associates (GPa) is a successful international consulting practice specializing in helping organizations to more effectively implement and execute their strategy. Jack has an impressive history of management and consulting experience. As a line and staff manager, he has been employed by firms such as Western Electric, ITT, the Hertz Corporation and The American Management Association. His most recent position, as a result of participating in a leveraged buyout, was as Executive Vice President and an owner of National Car Rental Systems, Inc.
As president and a consultant of J.L.Yurish Associates, Inc., Jack has focused on providing services in strategic and operational planning, productivity improvement, organizational change and management development. Through the Cambridge Management Institute, he has focused on corporate strategy creation, organizational learning and executive performance enhancement. In both endeavors, he and his associates have served a wide array of clients including Philip Morris, Chase Manhattan Bank, Avis, Brinks, Sears, Volvo, Kone, Holland America, Marsh & McLennan and others.
In addition to participating in acquisitions and the facilitation of mergers and strategic alliances, Jack has also been a lead consultant and counselor to top level management programs including, the Experience Compression Laboratory®, the Quality College and the DesignShop®. The latter is a highly innovative learning/planning process focused on helping corporations to compress time in the pursuit of strategic planning, new product launches, solving old problems or total organizational transformation. He is also heavily involved with executive coaching and the development and implementation of leadership and mentoring programs.
Jack is a member of the Board of Directors of WOMEN Unlimited Incorporated, a nation-wide leadership development and business education program for women in senior management positions. He has been a member of the Leadership Council of the Catholic Relief Services; a non-profit humanitarian organization providing emergency relief and development assistance to over ninety countries, globally.
